New Publication: Freiheitschauplatz Ukraine by Susann Worschech
We are delighted to announce the release of Freiheitschauplatz Ukraine, a groundbreaking new volume published by Dr. Susann Worschech, KIU Scientific Coordinator.
This is the first German-language sociology of Ukraine, offering deep insights into a society shaped by three revolutions, the transformative 1990s, the Maidan movement, and the ongoing conflict with Russia. Despite its dynamic civil society and remarkable resilience, Ukraine remains underrepresented in the German academic discourse.
Freiheitschauplatz Ukraine brings together leading German and Ukrainian scholars to explore how Ukrainians view themselves and their country within Europe, and how decades of upheaval have forged a complex, modern society.
