Info Session: Learn More About the Certificate Programme Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies
21 July 2026 | 3:00 p.m. (Online) | Applications for the Winter Semester 2026/27 are now open for the Certificate Programme Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies. KIU invites you to an online information session with Dr. Susann Worschech, Programme Coordinator.
The session is an opportunity to find out how the certificate programme can be combined with your Master's studies, doctoral research, or professional career. Dr. Worschech will also present the programme's structure, explain the application process, and answer questions about the academic and professional benefits of completing the certificate.
The Certificate Programme Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies is the only programme of its kind in Germany. It provides participants with knowledge of Ukrainian society, culture, politics, and the complex crises and conflicts in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. The programme equips students with the analytical skills to understand regional developments from an interdisciplinary and non-Russia-centred perspective.
The programme is offered by the Competence Network for Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies Frankfurt (Oder) – Berlin (KIU) and is coordinated by European University Viadrina in cooperation with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin.
